DON’T BE LONELY THIS CHRISTMAS
Senior Help Line, Ireland’s only national listening service for older people, will be open every day over Christmas and the New Year from 10 am to 10 pm.  We are here to take your call if you are on your own, feeling isolated, worried or would like someone to talk to.    Christmas can be a sad time for many people, and in the midst of apparent universal gaiety, some of us can feel very alone.  Senior Help Line volunteers are trained older people who understand the ups and downs of life, and are happy to listen, to keep company and to support.
So let us put the companionship into Christmas this year.
LoCall 1850 440 444, no call costs more than 30 cents.  All calls completely confidential.

Milltown Tidy Towns
A huge thank you to Eamon O Cuiv and Fiona O'Loughlin who paid a visit to our heritage centre last week. They were very impressed on the huge work done in transforming the 2 old schools into workable buildings and was very impressed that it was done with funding and donations from the people of the village. Mr. O'Cuiv commented on the huge work on gathering historical information and pictures along with the information of all people interred in our graveyard. Thank you to Michael and his team of tidy town workers, Jack Dunne, Betty field and the Tidy Towns group and to Betty O'Shea for painstakingly gathering the historical information and putting it together. When you pop in and sign the visitors book, you will see that it's not only local people but people from all over the country and abroad who have also visited. He was also really impressed that on the first Sunday of each month we have our Community Cuppa and a chat allowing young and old an opportunity to meet and have a chat and that each month a couple of members of the community hosted it. Thank you to everyone who contributed and continues to contribute to enhance the life of our community and its environs. Rural living at its best.
