Canal Plunge: Congratulations to the brave 7 who plunged into the icy waters of the Grand Canal on St. Stephen's Day . The 'Magnificent Seven ' were Brian Sexton, P.J. Ewing. Ray Melia, Anthony Farrell, Donie Percival, Thomas Leeson and Patrick Mackey. Well done to all who sponsored the Plunge . That afternoon the football challenge between the 1989 team and the 2011 team ended in a draw as all such games should. Many thanks to all who took part and to all who came to support them.

Have you tried out our new Walking Track? The track is free to use for members of the club.We would ask that non membrs pay a Social membership of €20, as users must be covered for insurance reasons. "Milltown in Motion" is back this Wednesday January 11th and is for all who want to keep fit and moving by running and walking. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 at the pitch for a walk or run, everyone moves at their own pace, great fun and craic and great encouragement between everyone.
The girls football academy is back this Tuesday January 10th for girls up to and including under 8's from 6pm to 7 pm. The girls from U8 to U11 are back training on Wednesday 11th January from 7pm to 8pm.
AGM is on Friday January 20th at 8pm. Last year was a very successful year for the whole club and we look forward to having s great attendance on the night.
Annual Dinner Dance Saturday March 25th in Hotel Keadeen. Tickets are €37.50 each and can be purchased from Fran O'Sullivan
The club lotto helps to pay for the daily running of the club. We are looking for more people to participate in the lotto by buying tickets or selling them. We are hoping to expand the lotto to all teams to encourage more participation. Tickets are €1.50 each. We would like to thank Liz O Shea and John Murphy and the lotto team who continue to give of their time so generously.

On behalf of the CARA Projects, I would like to thank everyone who supported the Family Table Quiz held over Christmas in The Inn at Milltown. A huge thank you to Aidan and Sandra Raleigh at the Inn, to the Buckley Family and to everyone who came along. We raised €494 for the girls Refuge centre and Orphanage. I will be travelling to the orphanage on February 9th and we really appreciate all your support.
Milltown Church Bicentenary 2017
There will be a meeting in the Old School, Milltown on Wednesday 11th January at 7.30pm to discuss preparations for the celebration of Milltown Church 200 years. All are very welcome.

This year will see us launch our first Senior Ladies Tournament in Allenwood GAA on Saturday 25th February, games start at 11am.Six teams will be participating in this event in honour of our late Chairperson and friend Winnie Dunne.
