Mission Month of October 2017
Today marks the first day of the Mission Month of O ctober. World Missions Ireland is the Holy Father’s official charity for overseas mission and is responsible for coordinating Mission Sunday in Ireland. A calendar of events has been put in place by World missions Ireland throughout the month of October, details of which can be found on our website www.wmi.ie Miles for Mission: In conjunction with the World Meeting of Families - annual walk/run in the Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday, 14th October from 10am. Registration is available online at popupraces.ie but runners and walkers can also register on the day from 9am at the Papal Cross! Registration Costs: 2km Family Event: €5 per family, 5km Walk/Run: €15 per person, 10km Walk/Run: €20 per person. Given the huge numbers of Irish missionaries overseas, World Missions Ireland and the World Meeting of Families is hoping that this event will be an occasion for families to come together on mission, to enjoy the missionary camaraderie, and help raise funds for missionaries working with very needy families around the world.
