Trócaire Romero Family Award

Who is this award for? This award is for families who would like to begin their spiritual preparation for the World Meeting of Families in August 2018. It aims to provide you and your family with an avenue to learn about the lives of other families around the world where Trócaire works.

What is a Family? “There is no stereotype of the ideal family, but rather a challenging mosaic made up of many different realities, with all their joys, hopes and problems.” (Pope Francis)

Where do I start?

ALLENWOOD GFC
We express our sincere sympathies to the Corrigan family on the sad passing of Angie during the week.
Kildare Scór Na nÓg takes place in Allenwood GFC December 3rd at 3pm. Starting with the Quiz at 2.30pm. National Club Draw takes place March 8th 2018. All funds raised will go to the club. Tickets cost €10, available from any committee member. First prize Renault Dynamique, second a travel voucher valued €2000,All Ireland Hurling and Football packages, Shopping vouchers etc. For those of you wishing to use our walkway the lights will be turned on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 7pm-8.30pm. Lotto tickets are on sale at a cost of €1.50 per ticket we would encourage our members to either buy or sell these tickets as it is a weekly fundraiser which has the potential to be a great help to the club. Please support.

BALLYTEAGUE GFC
Well done to Robbie McCabe on being chosen to work with the Kildare Senior panel as their Physio for 2018.
Best of luck to Aylmer Gaels U21s and management in the championship final.
The National Draw Tickets are now available from Marie and Padraig. Some great prizes to be won tickets €10 and all proceeds go to the club.
The club will hold a Club Social night on December 16th in Sarsfields GAA. Entertainment on the night is by Rory's Stories. There will also be a presentation of medals to our Reserve Champions. Tickets are €15 and are available from Ann Kenna and Ray Melia.

The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the O’Brien family on the sad passing of Nan and to the Melia family on the sad passing of Adran, who was seen at many a match taking pictures for the club.

CHRISTMAS IN ROBERTSTOWN
SUNDAY 10TH DECEMBER FROM 5PM
Lighting of the village lights, tree and Crib at 5.30pm and Santa arrives by Tractor at 6pm to see all the children in his grotto at Welds. Robertstown school choir will be singing carols. There are floating candles on the Grand Canal remembering those family members not with us this Christmas. These can be purchased for €3 each in Mullaneys, Welds or the Post Office. A special prize for the best Christmas Jumper and cutest child outfit. All are welcome from near and far.
