Who is this award for? This award is for families who would like to begin their spiritual preparation for the World Meeting of Families in August 2018. It aims to provide you and your family with an avenue to learn about the lives of other families around the world where Trócaire works.

KILMEAGUE TIDY TOWNS Lighting of Christmas tree will take place on this Sunday, 3rd Dec. at 6pm. Santa will be arriving and there will be presents for all the boys and girls in his grotto in Eleson House.

Pre-Christmas Clear Out. In association with Lenrec Ltd we are holding a clothing recycling collection on Tuesday 5th December as a school fundraiser. We are looking for donations of clean clothes, bed linen, towels, curtains, paird shoes, belts, mobile phones, books. All items can be dropped to Allen NS on Monday 4th December.

This Sunday the young people taking part in the Pope John Paul 11 Awards will hold a cake Sale in the Heritage Centre Milltown at 10.15 in aid of St. Vincent de Paul. Please support.

Under 21 Football Championship Final: Congratulations to Newtown Gaels on winning the C Final 4-2 to 1-9 against Sarsfields on Saturday last and congrats to Aylmer Gaels and Milltown who made it a treble of wins for the Parish.

Kildare Scor Na nÓg takes place in Allenwood GFC December 3rd at 3pm. Starting with the Quiz at 2.30pm. National Club Draw March 8th 2018. All funds raised will go to the club. Tickets cost €10, available from any committee member. First prize a New Renault Dynamique, second a travel voucher valued €2000, All Ireland Hurling and Football packages, Shopping vouchers etc. For those of you wishing to use our walkway the lights will be turned on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 7pm-8.30pm. Christmas draw tickets will go on sale shortly €2 or three for €5. Prizes are for €300, €200 and three €100 euro hampers plus many more prizes.

A huge congratulations to Aylmer Gaels U21s who beat neighbours Rathangan to claim the U21 B championship on a score line of 0-13 to 0-12. Well done to team and management on a great result. U17 league final on Sunday has been postponed until further notice. Children Christmas party takes place on Friday 8th December in the club house. The cost is €5 per child and forms need to be returned to Gillian, Lisa, Trish or Marie before the 5th December.
The National Draw Tickets are now available from Marie and Padraig. Tickets are €10 and all proceeds go to the club. Club Social night on Dec. 16th in Sarsfields GAA. Entertainment on the night is by Rory's Stories. There will also be a presentation of medals to our Reserve Champions. There are still some tickets at €15 available from Ann Kenna and Ray Melia.

Congratulations to our U17’s who play Athgarvan today at 2.30 in the Division 4 Final in Hawkfield. They had a great win last Saturday against St. Kevin’s in the Semi Final.
On behalf of everyone in the club, we want to wish Séan Trant a very safe journey as he takes off on his travels. Séan has been involved in so many teams and given of his time so generously over the last few years and we cannot thank him enough. Baile an Mhuileann Abú.
Well done to Medeina Considine, Anna Tierney, Taylor Murphy and Emma Shannon who are training with the Kildare U14 Ladies.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Club AGM last Friday and the Ladies AGM on Wednesday night.
A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who came to support our street league. Thank you to the Hanlon Family for their support. Thanks to the two “Managers” settling old scores and to all those who provided refreshments. It was a truly brilliant community day. Looks like this could be an annual event!
Best of luck to all our underage members who are taking part in Scor Na nOg today in Allenwood. This year we have the highest number of entries with participants taking part in Leiriu, recitation, solo singing, quiz, figure dancing, Ballad Group, trad group. The quiz starts at 2.30 with all other event starting at 3.30.

Christmas Raffle tickets have been distributed among our players, please support our raffle which will be held on 9th December.
Our club were invited to have a stall at this year's Na Fianna Mens Shed Christmas Fayre in Allenwood GFC on Sunday 10th December. Please support our stall and the event.

Lighting of the village lights, tree and Crib at 5.30pm and Santa arrives by Tractor at 6pm to see all the children in his grotto at Welds. Robertstown school choir will be singing carols. There are floating candles on the Grand Canal remembering those family members not with us this Christmas - €3 each from Mullaneys, Welds or the Post Office. A special prize for the best Christmas Jumper and cutest child outfit. All are welcome from near and far
