Relay for Life: A big thank you to everyone who supported the ‘Relay for Life’ event recently by buying Candle of Hope bags, attending the table quiz, taking part in the 24 hour walking marathon - especially those who came in the early hours of Sunday morning, spending money at the various stalls throughout the event at the Curragh and for replenishing the Allenwood tent with home baking and supplies. The Allenwood team raised €4,000 in total. All funds will go to the Irish Cancer Society.


‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will be held in Moorefield on 18th October at 7.30pm. MC Killian Whelan will host the night and there will also be a half-time performance. Order your tickets early from any committee member or dancer to avoid disappointment!

Best of luck to Aylmer Gaels Minors who are in the quarter final against Eadestown on the weekend of 19th September. Please support! BT Fitness has been recently launched in the club gym. The gym is now fully equipped for cross-fit training. Strength and conditioning classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and 8pm. €70 for ten classes. Result: U16 B F/Ball Champ Semi Final: Aylmer Gaels lost to Ballymore by 6 points. Well done to the panel and mentors on reaching the shield semi final.

The Minors have now reached the quarter finals of the Minor B Football championship and will play Eadestown on the weekend of the 19th/20th Sept. Fixture will be in local papers and the Kildare GAA Website early next week.


Result: U15 girls football league: Na Fianna 5-11 Kilcock 6-6.

Minor Training Tues and Thurs at 7.30 sharp in Ballyteague.

U15 Training every Monday 6.30 to 7.30 in Ballyteague.


Under 16 Football D Championship Semi-Final: Barrow Gaels 5-9 Robertstown 3-7. Hard luck but well done to all the players and the manager Mickey Moran on a fine campaign.

Minor D Championship: Robertstown finished joint top in this Championship and after a draw was declared the top team and will now face the 8th team in the Quarter Finals.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Junior Championship win in 1989 and a grand reunion for this team is being planned for later in the year.

Parish Lotto: The jackpot will be € 9,100 on Monday, so don't forget to get your tickets at €1.50 each from any of our promoters or from the shops and post office in Robertstown. If you are not in you cannot win.
