Underage disco dates in the New Year: 15 January, 12 February, 11 March, 1 and 29 April, and 27 May.

Date for your diary: Emer Malone is holding a table quiz on Friday 29 January in Allenwood hall at 9pm in aid of UCD Volunteer Overseas. She has been chosen as part of UCDs team to return to India this year as a student leader for a month in June. Each volunteer is to raise at least €2,600. Team of four is €20. All support would be greatly appreciated. 

GAA National club draw: Tickets on sale from any committee member at a cost of €10. All funds raised go to the club so it is a very worthwhile fundraiser for our club. We are calling on all members to participate in the sale and purchasing of these tickets. There are some excellent prizes to be had with an Opel Corsa as first prize. 

Bingo every Wednesday 8.30pm in Allenwood GAA hall.

Bonus ball: It is the bonus ball from the National Lottery on Saturday nights. You can enter at a cost of €2 to win €50. You can enter at our weekly bingo, or feel free to contact Jemma McCabe at 087 6199720. 

Clothes collection: continuing over the coming weeks. Allenwood GFC weekdays 9am –12pm; or to make alternative arrangements contact Lorraine on 087 1313219. Please note, they will accept washed soft toys also.


Sincere sympathies: the club wishes to extend its sympathies to the Reidy family on the death of Ruth. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

Best wishes: to clubman Jimmy Hyland who celebrated his 18th birthday recently.

Annual Mass: for deceased members, family members and friends of Ballyteague GFC will be held on 15 January 2016, at 7.30pm in Ballyteague Clubhouse. All very welcome.

National club draw tickets: now available from Padraig Thorpe. Each ticket costs €10 and there are great prizes to be won.

BT Fitness: bootcamp with Danny at 7.30pm Monday and Wednesday's, cost €6. Strength and conditioning classes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm, cost €7. All newcomers welcome. See BT Fitness page for more detail.


John Joe Bowers Cup: 5-a-side soccer tournament on Sunday, 7 February at 11.30am at Ballyteague Astro Pitches, €50 per team of five, and each team guaranteed at least two games. Refreshments and food on the day. Contact: Mark 085 8719125 or Ciaran 085 1636769.


We would like to wish all our members a very happy New Year and our sincerest condolences to our members who have lost a loved one during the past year. 

Annual Mass: thanks to all who attended and took part in our annual Mass for deceased members of the GAA on 3 January. 

Underage girls skills academy: is back in action on Wednesday evenings from 7 till 8. 

Membership is now due for the coming year and can be paid to the treasurer Timmy Cullen.

Kildare Senior Scór: is coming up in the next few weeks, so we're looking for anyone (over 17) who can sing, dance, act, tell a story or is good in a quiz. We'd love to have a few new faces this year to build on the success of last year's Senior Scór and, of course, this year's Scór na nÓg.

AGM: Monday 18 January at 8pm in Ballyteague GAA Hall. All senior players, parents of underage players, committee members and new members are invited to attend. Our underage numbers are steadily increasing and we need new committee members to come and help out. We hope to set up a fundraising committee and we would like new people with new ideas to join us. Non players membership of €10 can be paid on the night. Looking forward to seeing you all on 18 January. 


AGM: will be held in the clubrooms on Friday, 15 January at 7.30pm. All current members and new members are invited to attend.

St Stephen's Day Grand Canal Swim: many thanks to all who supported this annual event and special thanks to our four gallant swimmers who braved the cold and incessant rain: Adrian Moran, Brian Sexton, Ray Melia and Gary O’Sullivan.

Allen Parish Lotto: Tickets at €1.50 available from our many promoters and from the shops and Post Office in Robertstown. Monday's jackpot is €5,300.
