AGM took place Friday night last with the following officers elected, Chairperson: Joe Jacob, Vice Chairperson Morgan O’Callaghan, Secretary: Lorraine Malone, Asst. Secretary: Celine McNamee, Treasurer: Sean Malone, Asst. Treasurers: Joyce Byrne and Kieran O’Sullivan, PRO: Jemma McCabe. Membership is now due prices remain the same as last year and are as follows, Family €70, Couple €60, Adult €35, Student/ OAP  €20, player €40 and Associate member €25. To have use of the walkway around the perimeter of our grounds it is essential for insurance purposes that you are a paid up member. Our gym will be up and running shortly.  More info to follow. 

Underage disco dates for the 2016 are as follows February 12th, March 11th, April 1st and 29th and May 27th.

Emer Malone is holding a table quiz on Friday 29th January in Allenwood hall at 9pm in aid of UCD Volunteer Overseas. She has been chosen as part of UCD’s team to return to India this year as a student leader for a month in June. Team of 4 €20. 

GAA National club draw, tickets on sale from any committee member at a cost of €10. All funds raised go to the club. Opel Corsa first prize. 

Bingo every Wednesday 8.30pm in Allenwood GAA hall.

Clothes Collection Final date Wednesday February 3rd.

Deepest sympathies to Brigid Kane and all the family on the very sad passing of our club president, Pat. A huge thank you to everyone who tuned out to do the guard of honour on Tuesday and Wednesday and for giving Pat the send-off he truly deserved.


Congratulations to Lara Curran and Cliodhna Malone who have been selected for the Kildare U16 ladies. This is an amazing achievement for the 2 girls as they have represented Milltown on the Kildare U12's, U14's and now U16's ladies teams.

Many thanks to everyone who continues to buy lotto tickets each week. This is a great source of income which is of great benefit to the club.  Lotto tickets can be purchased from Liz O'Shea, John Murphy and in the shop in Milltown at €1.50 each.

The club is in the process of developing a new pitch or pitches beside our existing grounds. We are inviting people to become "FRIEND of MILLTOWN GAA" by making a monthly donation. If you interested, please contact Roisin Malone on 0851264811. 


AGM will be held Wednesday January 20th at 7.30pm in The Milltown Inn. We are looking for new volunteers to help us to build on our success of recent years.


St. Stephen's Day Grand canal Swim. Many thanks to all who supported this annual event and special thanks to our 4 gallant swimmers Adrian Moran, Brian Sexton, Ray Melia and Gary O Sullivan.

Well done to all our athletes who took part in the Kildare Indoor Championships in Athlone last weekend. Congratulations to Daniel Smal who took Bronze in the U12 60m, Orlaith O Mahony Silver in U12 Long Jump and Fintan Howard Gold in U16 60m and 200m. 

Upcoming events: 23rd Jan National Indoor Combined event. 13/14 February and 5/6 March Leinster Indoor Championships. All of the above events will take place in Athlone I T. More information on all events on our Facebook page.

2016 Registration for all existing and new members will take place on 19th Jan and 21st Jan 7pm at Robertstown GFC. Little Athletics Registration is available for kids turning 5 in 2016. AGM Thursday 4th Feb at 8pm in Robertstown NS.
