The 'Vigil for Life' takes place in Merrion Square, Dublin, on Saturday 8 June, from 3pm to 4pm. The Government intends to legalise abortion in July, and a large attendance in Merrion Square is essential to oppose this. The vigil will send a clear, positive message about safeguarding the lives of mothers and babies in pregnancy. Posters will be provided on the day.

The Catholic bishops have issued their preliminary response to the Protection of Life during Pregnancy Bill 2013.

The Catholic bishops of Ireland stress once again the importance of continuing to provide a health care service in Ireland which ensures complete respect for the sacredness of the life both of the mother and her unborn baby.

Giving blood saves lives and you could save a life or two or three by giving blood at the GAA Hall, Prosperous Road, Clane, on Wednesday 20 March, from 3pm to 5pm; and from 7pm to 9.30pm.

Blood donors are needed, at this time, to ensure adequate blood supplies following the St. Patrick's weekend and in advance of the Easter holiday weekend.  New donors will also be most welcome.

We extend an open invitation to meet old and new friends in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Transport is provided from door to door. Good food, good company on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
