Stations of the Cross during Lent:

Don’t Forget! Chrism Mass 2017
You are warmly invited to join with Bishop Denis for the annual celebration of the Chrism Mass in the Cathedral, Carlow on Monday, April 10 at 7:30 followed by a cuppa in Carlow College.
A representative from our Parish will carry the Parish banner. The Diocesan choir is made up of choirs from all around the Diocese, including our own choir. Please come early to be sure of a seat!

MILLTOWN TIDY TOWNS are holding their monthly Cuppa and A Chat this Sunday morning April 2nd. If you are in the area or just driving through, do pop in from 10.15am. All welcome.

SOCIAL DANCING every Tuesday night at Sarsfields clubhouse in aid of Almas & Sr. Muriels Home for the Poor. Dancing starts at 9.30pm. Music Next Tues Night by “Johnny Mullen”. Adm €7.

Our U16 girls lost out to Na Fianna on Monday 4-10 to 0-9. Our U14 Feile lads lost out to Fr Prendergast Gaels 6-11 to 2-2. Our Minor lads lost out to Raheens 3-11 to 2-6. A huge congratulations to our U12 girls who made it through the final selection to the Kildare County Panel. Well done to Maeve Lavelle, Emma Shannon and Grace Murtagh. Many thanks to their trainers Eugene Donovan, Peter Dunne and Catriona Reddy. Dinner Dance and Presentation night - Congratulations to Fran O'Sullivan and the hard working team organising the event. Presentations were made to Club Person of the Year Liz O'Shea, player of the year Colin O'Shea, Players player of the year, Ian Fitzgerald, Ladies Players Player of the year, Anne Sweeney, Jim Byrne Underage, Declan Brennan, Darren O'Shea, Sean Trant and Johnny Murtagh. A special presentation was made to Joe Hartnett, principal of Milltown School, for his contribution to Gaelic Football in the School. The Club wishes Joe well in his new placement in Naas. Seniors play Clane at home Tuesday April 4th at 7.30pm. The senior team were away to Johnstownbridge last weekend Allenwood 0-11 Johnstownbridge 3-15. We would like to wish Johnny Byrne and the Kildare team the very best Sunday away to Galway. Membership now due for 2017. Allenwood club draw in association with Club Kildare tickets on sale now available from any committee member. This year we have two U-14 teams and their league starts this week. Good luck girls. Our U-16 girls are doing well in their league recording two good wins and one loss, with two games left to play. Senior Ladies Div 1 team suffered a lost to Eadestown last week in their second match. Next week will see our Senior Div 1 team away to Monasterevan and our Senior Div 5 team home to Ballyna 2, both games down for Tuesday the 4th April. Our second registration night will take place next Wednesday the 5th April in Ballyteague GFC from 8-9pm. Players please attend to sign forms Congratulations to the following girls who have been selected for County U12 teams this year Caitlin Brennan, Orlaith O'Mahoney, Leah McKenna, Jodie Moore, Anna Price, Roisin McCormack and Chloe Wiltshire.

Easter Raffle on Sat. 8th April in Welds at 10pm. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are Easter hampers and many more prizes on the night. Tickets €2 or 3 for €5 available from committee members, Welds pub and local shops.

Best of luck to Erin Lenihan competing in the girls U12 Long Jump this Saturday in the National Juvenile Indoor Championships in Athlone. Well done to Oliver McNamee and Oran O'Grady who competed in the U15 and U13 high jump last Sunday in the National Juvenile Indoor Championships. Sterling performances from both. Hard luck to Daniel Smal who, having qualified, couldn't compete due to injury. Kildare Athletcis League Round 2 for all Sat 8th April, Celbridge. Adult Fit4Life Walk/Jog/Run sessions continue Wed. 8pm and Sun 10am meeting at the Bridge Side Cafe.
