God, our Father, We are brothers and sisters in Jesus your Son,
One family, in the Spirit of your love.

Bless us with the joy of love.

Make us patient and kind, gentle and generous,
welcoming to those in need.
Help us to live your forgiveness and peace.

Protect all families with your loving care, Especially those for whom we now pray:

[We pause and remember family members and others by name].

Increase our faith, Strengthen our hope, Keep us safe in your love,
Make us always grateful for the gift of life that we share.

This we ask, through Christ our Lord, Amen

Keep my soul in peace before you, O Lord.

A lot of credit to the young people of Milltown Foróige who, as their contribution towards the Bi-Centenary of our Church, have created this beautiful Garden of Remembrance at Milltown Church to remember those who died by suicide, babies who died before, during and just after birth and those people who died when passing through our village in times gone by. They organised a beautiful prayer service and the blessing of the garden on Thursday night last. We welcome anyone passing through the village to take a trip to the remembrance garden just inside the church grounds on the left. A special word of thanks to Mary Boland Club Leader and to all Foroige leaders for all their help.
The Rosary will be recited on Sunday 5th November in Allen Cemetery at 2pm; in
Crosspatrick Cemetery at 2.30pm and in Milltown Cemetery at 3pm.

Since the support group was founded 21 years ago, our annual Remembrance Services has taken in Cill Mhuire Church, Ballymany, Newbridge. Over the years a tree has been planted and a plaque placed beneath it with the following inscription: “In remembrance of all babies who died before, during or after birth”. For those who may not have a grave to visit this is a special place to say a prayer or just remember. A local choir provides music and song for our annual service which helps to create a prayerful and often poignant atmosphere. Candles are lit during h service and it is very moving to see them burning brightly after the candle lighting ceremony. Bulbs are also distributed after the service and the congregation is invited to plant these bulbs around the Tree of Remembrance at the back of the church.
The Remembrance Quilt, made up of patches lovingly created in memory of lost babies is the focal point of the Remembrance Service and is a beautiful work of art. A Book of Remembrance is also available for the inclusion of the names of all babies who died before, during or after birth.
This year’s Remembrance Service will take place on Saturday 25th November at 7pm in Cill Mhuire, Church, Ballymany, Newbridge. Patches for the quilt (5 inches square) can be left into the Parish Office, Newbridge up to Wednesday 22nd November.
