Christmas Penitential Service

Congratulations to 17 young people from Allen Parish who were presented with the Pope John Paul 11 Bronze, Silver, Gold and Papal Awards by Bishop Denis Nulty on Wednesday last.

BACKSTAGE-KILDARE PERFORMING ARTS TRAINING ACADEMY which has been based at the Moat theatre in Naas for the past twelve years opens an outreach programme at Allen Community Hall on Saturday, 6th Jan. It will run every Saturday from 10am-12 noon for 7-13 year olds and from 12 noon -1pm for 14-17 year olds. The programme, which is drama based, includes performance, acting, singing, mime, voice, musical theatre and acting for camera. Further information on Allen Parish Website. We welcome Brian McGrogan on board as our First team Manager for the coming year. Congratulations to the Aylmer Gaels U17 squad who won the Championship defeating Sallins. We wish Johnny Byrne and Jimmy Hyland all the best going forward with Kildare for the coming season.
National Club Draw Tickets on sale. Draw takes place March 8th. All funds raised will go to the club. Tickets cost €10, available from any committee member. There are some fabulous prizes to be won, with first prize being a New Renault Dynamique, second a travel voucher valued €2000, All Ireland Hurling and Football packages, Shopping vouchers etc. Why not buy a ticket for a loved one who you find hard to buy for make a nice gift for Christmas. For those of you wishing to use our walkway the lights will be turned on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 7pm-8.30pm.

Clothes collection continues clothes may be brought to the GAA
between 9.30am and 12.30pm Monday to Friday.

The underage Christmas party was a huge success last Friday night. A big thank you to all who helped organise it and a special thank you to Santa who made a guest appearance. A great evening was had by all.
For those interested in using our walking track the lights will be switched on every day from 7:00 am until 8:30 am and then again from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Walking track membership costs €50. Gift vouchers are now available for both the walking track and the all-weather pitch. Contact Christina 086 3785568.
Both pitches are now closed until spring 2018.
The National Draw Tickets are now available from Marie Jacob. Some great prizes to be won tickets are €10 and all proceeds go to the club.

All roads lead to Oulart, Wexford again this week for the rescheduled Scór na nÓg Leinster Semi Finals. Best of luck to our Ballad Group of Lily, Erica, Mia and Tómas, our recitation with Francesca Smyth and our Léiriú with Ross, Tom, Patrick, Fiachra, Emma, Tia, Joe, Betty and Niamh.

Well he arrived! Amid all the excitement with Santa’s arrival at the club, we have to thank everyone who turned up to help in any way.
