Today is a day of prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Kildare & Leighlin Diocese have, at present, two students in formation for priesthood; Sean Fitzpatrick from Askea Parish is in formation in the Irish College in Rome and Darren Baldwin from Derrinturn is in formation in Maynooth.

Copies of Bishop Denis Nulty’s Pastoral Message on the upcoming referendum “Supporting a Culture of Life” are available with the Newsletter at all Masses this weekend. Please take one.

Well done to the boys who beat Sallins 2-1 in the first league match away to Arlington on Sunday at 11am. The Club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the Keely family on the sad passing of Phil.

Congratulations to Erin Lenehan, Keri Moore and Gracie O'Gorman who will represent our club this year on the U12 County Panel. Good luck girls and enjoy the experience. Our U14 teams 3rd round of games this Thursday 26th April. Team 1 are home to Eadestown, and Team 2 home to Sarsfields 2. Our Senior Ladies are away to Suncroft on Tuesday 24th April at 7pm. Our ladies teams would appreciate your support in this weeks fixtures.

The Senior team had an impressive win over Milltown last Saturday 3-16 to 3-8. Well done to team and management. They will take on Kilcullen on the Saturday 28th April in Ballyteague.
Ballyteague will play Kilcock in the first round of the Intermediate Football Championship on Friday 4th May in Hawfield at 8.15pm.
The Reserve team beat Caragh 1-14 to 3-7 in their opening game. They will play Cappagh on Monday 23rd April at 7.00 pm.
Underage training every Friday from 7pm in Ballyteague. New members are welcome to join. Well done to the U9s who had a great game against Kildangan and St. Laurances on Tuesday. Team 1 and Team 2 will play Moorefield. Both games are in Moorefield on Tuesday 24th April at 7 pm. U12 Division 5 Football League Ballytegaue play Robertstown in Ballyeague on Thursday 26th April at 7.00pm.

Great performance from our U9 hurlers & camógs who took on a strong Round Towers team and came out victorious.
Congratulations to the School Mini Sevens team who are now 2018 champions and to the school boys soccer team who will now contest the mid Leinster 5 a side in Portlaoise on Wednesday. The GAA have a grant system for a gaa member to go to the Gaeltacht. If you are interested in applying for your teenager( they must be a registered member) contact us to get forms please.
