We welcome Fr. Brian Kavanagh back to Allen Parish. As well as continuing on in his role in the Marriage Tribunal, Fr. Brian will be in Allen Parish on a part time basis.

With effect from 1st August, to enable one Priest to cover all Masses in Allen Parish, changes in Mass times will apply. These arrangements are necessary because of the limited available of Fr. Brian Kavanagh who will reside here in the parish but whose primary job is with The Regional Marriage Tribunal in Maynooth.

Coill Dubh AFC in association with Enable Ireland Kildare & Down Syndrome Ireland Kildare have organised a 12 hour Sponsored walk and Family fun Day at Coill Dubh AFC grounds from 7am to 7pm on August 26th. The aim is to raise funds for all three organisations and to bring sections of the community together to celebrate inclusion and sport.

The club would like to wish Jimmy Hyland and the Kildare U20s the very best of luck as they take on Mayo in the U20 All Ireland Final in Croke Park on Sunday August 5th at 1.15pm. The game is live on TG4 for anyone who can’t be there on the day. The Senior team will play Eadestown in the Division 3 League Final on Friday 10th August in St. Conleths Park Newbridge at 7pm. Intermediate Football Championship Group A Fixtures: Ballytegaue V Rathagan on Thursday 16th August in St. Conleths Park at 7.15pm. Reserve D Championship Fixtures: Ballyteague V St. Laurances in Ballykelly on Tuesday 7th August at 7.30pm. All support would be greatly appreciated for all fixtures. Underage training every Tuesday and Friday from 7 pm in Ballyteague.
The Cúl Camps will take place in Ballytegaue this year from 20thAugust to 24th August. Book now to avoid disappointment. The First team play the next round of the Championship Thursday August 16th at 7.30pm. We wish Jimmy Hyland and the Kildare team the very best of luck in the U20 All-Ireland final Sunday in Croke Park. Our launch for the 24 hour walk took place Saturday night last thanks to those who attended. The time slots were drawn for each group and thanks to Brendan Wise who put together a presentation showing all the future plans for the club. A huge congratulations to Julie Field and Darren Burke who won 3rd Prize €1,000 in the Kildare GAA Development Draw. The winners of the Early Bird draw were Declan and Liz Buckley.
