Adoration takes place every Monday (except Bank Holidays) 11am-3.30pm. All are very welcome.

Next Friday, 7th December is the First Friday of the month. Housebound parishioners will be attended.

AN INVITATION FROM BISHOP DENIS
ENTERING INTO ADVENT TOGETHER
Bishop Denis warmly invites people and clergy from across the diocese to join him, as we begin our Advent journey, for a celebration of Evening Prayer for the First Sunday of Advent in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow at 5pm on Dec. 2nd. (Tea/coffee in Cathedral Parish Centre from 4-4:45 pm)
The music for this diocesan celebration will be led by the KandLe Diocesan Choir.
At this Advent Evening Prayer Bishop Denis will anoint an Icon written to depict, from the Rosary, the Third Mystery of Light: The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God. An image of this icon with helpful information to assist people pray the Mysteries of Light during Advent, will be this year’s parish Reach Out Gift.

DONATIONS FOR FLOWERS FOR CHRISTMAS to the Sacristans of Allen, Allenwood and Milltown Churches would be very much appreciated at this time.

ADVENT REFLECTION AND WORKSHOP
You are invited to spend an hour with Fr. Brian Kavanagh as he shares and reflects on the theme of Happiness and Joy in our lives. During these darkest days in the year, we need to confront the other aspect of darkness in our lives, the negativity within us and the negativity around us. The journey of transformation from negativity to happiness and joy is part of Fr. Brian's personal story. You are welcome to join him on the following Fridays - Dec. 7th, 14th & 21st - in the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity, Allen from 8pm - 9pm as we explore this journey together through the Season of ADVENT leading to joy of CHRISTMAS.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Na Fianna Mens Shed in conjunction with Allen Area CE Scheme are hosting a Christmas Fayre on this Sunday in Allenwood GAA Clubhouse from 2.00pm to 6.00pm. There are a great variety of stalls. You will find suitable Christmas presents at Fayre. Entertainment featuring Allenwood Contemporary Choir, Prosperous Trad Group and other acts.Santa will make an appearance.

SUNDAY 2ND DECEMBER
Join us in Robertstown on Sunday 2nd December when the crib will be lit and blessed by Fr. Willie Byrne at 5.30pm.
Santa will arrive on his tractor to his grotto in Mullaneys. All are welcome from near and far.

MILLTOWN TIDY TOWNS have recently installed a DEFIBRILLATOR for the community on the outside wall of the Inn at Milltown. We thank the proprietors for giving us this excellent location. This defibrillator is fully automated so training is not required to be able to operate it. Full instructions are given when the machine is in use. We would ask the community to familiarise themselves with the location of the defibrillator.

ROBERTSTOWN ROAD SAFETY COMMITTEE will be holding a meeting in Robertstown GAA Club on Wednesday 5th December at 8pm. Safety concerns of residents in relation to the speed of traffic around the school and through the village will be highlighted to local representatives who will be attending. All support is welcome.
