The Diocesan Reach Out gifts are available at all Masses this weekend at the door of the church. Each family is invited to take one. This year’s gift contains a prayer card with an icon commissioned by Bishop Denis, a card with details of our Christmas Masses and a Christmas message from Bishop Nulty.

Adoration takes place every Monday (except Bank Holidays) 11am-3.30pm. All are very welcome. (There will be no Adoration on Monday 24th and Monday 31st December).

ADVENT REFLECTION AND WORKSHOP
You are invited to spend an hour with Fr. Brian Kavanagh as he shares and reflects on the theme of Happiness and Joy in our Lives. During these darkest days in the year, we need to confront the other aspect of darkness in our lives, the negativity within us and the negativity around us.
The journey of transformation from negativity to happiness and joy is part of Fr. Brian's personal story. You are welcome to join him on Fridays December 21st - in the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity, Allen from 8pm - 9pm as we explore this journey together through the Season of ADVENT leading to joy of CHRISTMAS.

WWI MEMORIAL
A memorial to the war dead from the community will be unveiled on Sunday 30th December at 2pm in Allen Cemetery. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
A total of 26 names will be on the memorial. The committee would like to trace the relatives of the following three: Stewart Hemmingway, John Swift and Martin McDonnell. If anyone has any information please contact Frank 086 2728644.

ROBERTSTOWN GFC
At the EGM held on Wednesday last the outgoing officers and committees were returned en bloc for the next 12 months. Mark McDermott, chairman of the underage committee presented a very detailed report on the underage activity in the club. Aidan Dunne will be manager of the first team and it was decided to enter a second team for the coming season.
Membership fees are now due and can be paid to treasurer, Tara Moran, or any committee member. Family €75, Senior Player €60, Student player and full membership (non playing) €40, social membership €30, juvenile €25.
Astro turf pitch is available to all clubs and groups and for children’s birthday parties. For bookings contact Tara Moran 085 7317697.
Parish Lotto tickets €1.50 each available from our many promotors and from the shops and post office in Robertstown. Monday’s jackpot €2,500
