We welcome all our Confirmation candidates this weekend for the Ceremony of Light.
In the Ceremony of Light, the parents hand back the Baptismal candle to their son/daughter. For the last ten or eleven years the parents have been the guardians of the Light of Faith for their sons and daughters. Now the children themselves are taking more responsibility for their Christian faith. The Baptismal candle represents the Light of Christ in the world.
