Our Centenary Celebrations kicked off on Tuesday evening in fine style when a large crowd witnessed a very entertaining encounter between Kildare and Roscommon Senior Footballers. The game was very well handled by Referee , Cormac O Reilly of Meath finishing in a draw Kildare 2 - 18 Roscommon 4 - 12. We should like to thank both teams for helping us to begin our year of celebrations .It was a great sense of pride to the committee and all the members of the club to welcome our county team to our grounds and to showcase our modern facilities. Presentations were made to the captains of both teams, Kildare manager Cian O'Neill, to our County Chairman Ger Donnelly and his wife Martina and a presentation was also made to Pamela O'Brien whose family company Knife Edge are the club's main sponsors. A huge amount of work went into making the night the great success it was and we should like to thank everyone who helped in any way. A lovely souvenir programme was compiled by Conor Graham to celebrate the evening. A small few are still available and can be bought in the local shops for €3.
