Will be celebrated by Bishop Denis Nulty in Clongowes Wood College on Sunday 12th May at 3pm. Anointing of the sick and blessing with the cross of Blessed John Sullivan, SJ will take place immediately after Mass. All are welcome.

SOCIAL DANCING in aid of Almas & Sr. Muriels Home for the Poor takes place at Newbridge Town Soccer Club every Thursday night. Music this Thursday by “Brian McDermott” Adm €10. Time 9.30pm – 11.45pm.

Na Fianna Men’s Shed will officially open their new shed on Sunday 5th May at 4pm in conjunction with ACDAL open day. We are located in the Michael Fitzpatrick Enterprise Centre. We hope that you will drop in to see some of the activities that are being undertaken.

We would like to thank everybody who took part in the National Spring Clean, especially AES, Bord Na Mona and Kildare County council for their support.
Our AGM will be held on Tuesday 7th May at 8pm in ACDAL.

Pilgrimage to Lough Derg - Fr.Brian will be going on pilgrimage to Lough Derg on 11th July to 13th and will remain on the Island working as a member of the Team from 14th to 20th. PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND - Fr. Brian hopes to lead a pilgrimage to the Holy Land (God Willing) in 2021. The two-year planning is to give people the opportunity to save for this 13 day journey. However, if there are twenty people interested in travelling at the end of April next year, the pilgrimage can be arranged immediately and another for April 2021. Normally, we stay in Bethlehem, the Old City of Jerusalem, Nazareth and/or Capernaum (two miles from where Jesus lived) on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. (Cost approx. €2,100). Milltown Foróige is inviting locals to join in a ‘Street Fest’- a community picnic on Sunday 5th May from 1-4pm in the grounds of Scoil Bhríde Milltown.. This event is part of a national movement encouraging communities to get out together & celebrate. The race is chip timed and online registration is now live at All Ireland Turf Footing & Country fair commemorates the First National Turf Footing Championships on Sunday 2nd June in Ballyteague GFC at 1pm. Music, dancing, entertainment as well as the All Ireland Turf Footing Championships. Check out the March issue of The Allen Eye for an article about the event. Well done to all our underage teams who were in actions this week. Thanks to all the new mentors and coaches especially some of our senior players who are now coaching the underage teams. Great to see so many of our young hurlers and camógs at the Easter Hurling Camp with the Kildare Senior Hurlers. Best of luck to Lauren Murtagh and all the Kildare Minor Ladies who take on Meath in the Leinster A final in Kinnegad Bank Holiday Monday. Join Milltown Foroige on Sunday 5th May 2019 for our 'Street Feast'! It's taking place in the grounds of Scoil Bhride from 1pm to 4pm. We are one of hundreds of community picnics taking place all over Ireland on this day. So grab your family or a group of friends, pack a picnic and come on down! Help them celebrate our local identity in Milltown and all that's good about our village. U13 development kicks off this Sunday. Registration at 9am. North Kildare venue is Maynooth and South Kildare is Ballykelly. The U12 girls County Development starts Sunday 12th and running for 6 weeks. Time of training is 10am-11.15am on Sunday mornings.
