Pope John Paul II Awards
Congratulations to Allen Parish Pope John Paul II awardees who were presented with their awards by Bishop Denis Nulty at a wonderful ceremony in Cill Mhuire Church on Friday last. In Milltown Church on Tuesday mornings 10am - 10.30am and Thursdays 2.30pm - 3.30pm (Please note change of time).
In Allen Church on Tuesday mornings 10am – 11am, Wednesday mornings 10am - 11am and Friday evenings 7pm - 8pm.
Allenwood Church on Friday mornings after 9.30am Mass.

Adoration takes place every Monday (except Bank Holidays) 11am-3.30pm. All are very welcome.

Allen N. S. Christmas Craft Fair

Milltown Foroige in collaboration with Milltown Tidy Towns would like to invite everyone to the turning on of the Christmas lights on Sunday 8th December at 6pm at the church. This is a very special occasion involving the blessing of the crib and the turning on of the lights including an amazing new Christmas scene projected on to the Church. Foroige members will entertain you with Christmas Carols, followed by refreshments in the school and a raffle in aid of St Vincent de Paul.

Milltown Tidy Towns are holding their monthly Commune-a-Tea Cuppa and a Chat this Sunday December 1st in the Old School in Milltown from 10.15- 11.30am
This year at our December gathering, we will be taking up a collection for St. Vincent de Paul at this Coffee morning. All donations will be very well received. Thank you to our amazing hosts from our community who take turns to host the coffee morning each month. We couldn’t do it without you.

Newtown Gaels 1-11 Maynooth  0-11. Congratulations and well done to all the players and mentors. Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday December 12th in the Club Rooms at 8pm. All current and prospective members are invited to attend. Christmas Raffle Tickets €20 each, confined to 200 tickets, are available from any Committee Member. Draw on Saturday, December 21st in Mullaney's Lounge. 1st Prize € 1,000. Centenary History of the Club entitled 'The Town' is now available at a cost of €15 from any Committee Member and from the local shops. This would make a very acceptable Christmas present for family members and friends, especially those abroad. Walking track lights are switched on every day from 7am until 8:30am and then again from 5pm until 9pm. Hard luck to the boys who were beaten in the League Shield Final. Well done to all at Allenwood Celtic.

The Strive the Five is Alive as our Minor Ladies are through to the Minor Final after a very tough semi final win over Kilcock with a final score of Milltown 4-05 Kilcock 2-10. A huge congratulations to our Minor Ladies and the team management and to all the supporters who travelled to Kilcock at short notice when our pitch was water logged. Our U15 lads were in action twice this week so far. They lost out to Fr. Prendergast Gaels on Wed Milltown 2:7 FPG 6:9. They beat Carbury on SundayMilltown 4:14 Carbury 0:6. LGFA AGM will be held Monday December 2nd at 8pm in the clubhouse. All are welcome to attend and looking forward to seeing you there. Congratulations to all our players in our LGFA who were presented with their awards at the end of year presentations at the clubhouse. We had all our underage ladies as well as our Senior Ladies celebrating the most successful year to date for our ladies section. Our Drive for Five is still alive and a huge congratulations go to our U13, U15, U16 and Senior Ladies who are County Champions. Our Minor Ladies played their final on Saturday in the Drive for Five. Thank you to the Senior Ladies Captain Lisa Murphy who was on hand to present the medals and our sponsors, The Inn at Milltown, Tierney Garden Developments and Vernon Walker, Pallas Foods, The Harp Bar, Donovan Print and to Annabelle for the great photos. This magnificent celebration of ladies football today could not have taken place without the amazing people who organised this event. Your incredible work paid off and it was a wonderful day enjoyed by everyone. Best of luck to the Minor ladies in the final. We have had a great response to our fundraising campaign FRIENDS OF MILLTOWN .Milltown GAA would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our FOM. We have passed €35,000 raised on the back of your generosity. To those who may want to sign up, we will be doing a door to door visit throughout the village and surrounding areas during November.
