Advent Penitential Service
In the times we live, people are living very stressful lives and experiencing many difficulties and problems. Advent gives us a time to reflect and perhaps see areas and attitudes in our lives that we need to change. During Advent the Church offers us a means of healing difficult areas of our lives through the sacrament of reconciliation/confession.
Our Advent Penitential Service will take place on Wednesday 18th December at 8pm in Allenwood (7pm in Rathangan).

Christmas Confessions on Tuesday 24th December:
Allenwood 11am – 12 noon
Allen 11am – 11.45am
Milltown 12 noon – 12.30pm

Diocesan Reach Out Gift
The Gift this year is a trolley fob key ring with the message ‘SHARE WITH THE HUNGRY’ – as people do their shopping for Christmas we are asking them to actively remember the poor and support especially this Advent, the work of St Vincent de Paul. Throughout the year as people shop they are encouraged to continue supporting initiatives such as the Allen Parish Food Bank.
Please take a Reach Out Gift with you and perhaps take one
to someone you know who cannot get to mass.
