Allen Parish Newletter 27th Sept 2009

Aid to the Church in need

 “Dear Father Moore,

Just a short note to thank you sincerely for your kindness to Jim Byrne and helpers over the weekend when they visited your parish of Allen on behalf of Aid to the Church in Need.

You will be pleased to hear that we received a wonderful response from the people of your parish of €1,350.00 to our appeal as well as 68 response cards. WE are most grateful for this and wish to express our thanks to your parishioners for their response to our appeal for the persecuted and suffering Church.
Nothing can be more precious than to comfort the abandoned Jesus in His suffering brothers and sisters and in accommodating the promotion of our pastoral charity you have actively participated in providing a lifeline to those whoa re in the front line of Christ’s work of Redemption.
Again I offer you sincere thanks for your goodness and assure you of remembrance in our grateful prayers as we continue our mission for the persecuted and forgotten in the Church.

Yours sincerely in Christ

George Lynch

Director.”

Aid to the Church in need is a Papal Charity, founded by Fr. Werenfried van Straaten to support the Church throughout the world where it is in need or suffering persecution. This charity will be promoted in each Parish of the Diocese with Bishop Moriarty’s approval during this year.
